NYC: June 1, 2020
I’m stating for the record that I personally think there are also many good police officers. I don’t care if no one likes my post, because I already like all my posts myself.
I’m attaching two photos I saw on ABC news that I want people to see. I also want to say that the United States is more united right now on George Floyd than I’ve personally ever seen, and I think we are going to get some change out of this. Are you crazy, George? How could you say the US is united with all the flames. Well, that’s not unity, but I haven’t seen one person defend Officer Derek Chauvin’s actions. Have you? As for me, I support the protests, but I do not support the riots. No one is going to convince me that looting Chanel is the path to racial equality. Maybe I’m just old-fashioned in that way. But to the NYPD: no one is going to convince me that an officer should drive an SUV into people when there is a clear path to backup. I mean that is playing right into the hands of the rioters.
The way I tend to look at things, change is going to come through the vote, which is why racists worked so hard to keep black people from voting. Basically, in my view, this election is going to be about re-taking Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. If we turnout this time, we will take these states back. We will then win back the White House, I suspect we have a great chance of taking the Senate, and we will hold the House. And then we have a LOT of work to do.
